Welcome to the European SUP League
Europe’s Established Stand Up Paddle Circuit
The European SUP League (ESL) is the official Stand Up Paddle circuit sanctioned by the European Surfing Federation. Following its successful launch, the ESL continues to evolve as a leading competitive platform in Europe, contributing to the professionalization, visibility, and internationalization of SUP.
The league was created with the mission of uniting the Stand Up Paddle community across the continent, and in 2026 it reaffirms its commitment to offering opportunities for athletes of all levels, fostering the growth of the sport, and promoting a sustainable and environmentally responsible practice.
A Growing Project
More than just a series of events, the ESL has become a meeting point for athletes, clubs, federations, and fans. Its structure is designed to facilitate international participation, improve travel logistics, and ensure a geographically balanced circuit.
In 2026, the ESL presents a renewed calendar that expands its presence across Europe and introduces new venues, further consolidating its reach and sporting impact.

2026 Circuit Structure
The 2026 calendar consists of seven events held across several European countries. The circuit has been organized into three blocks, or “mini circuits,” to optimize athlete mobility and encourage broader participation.

Each event will meet high organizational standards, ensuring a top-level competitive and public experience.

A Solid Future for SUP in Europe
The European SUP League is the first step toward a new era for Stand Up Paddle in Europe. Its establishment will strengthen SUP in the long term, creating a solid platform for athletes, clubs, and event organizers.
The year 2025 will be key in laying the foundations of this circuit, with an inaugural edition that will mark a turning point in the world of paddle surfing.
Looking ahead, the ESL aims to expand its calendar, incorporate more locations, and ensure sustainable growth for SUP in Europe.

We will implement technology to enhance athlete monitoring, in successive editions, and provide personalized broadcasts throughout the circuit.

Format

The European SUP League encourages participation from athletes of all levels and ages, promoting diversity and the growth of the sport across Europe.
Each event will award the same points regardless of prize money distribution for men and women, ensuring fair competition. Additionally, the overall male and female champions will receive the prestigious recognition of the European Surfing Federation as European Champions, along with a cash prize from the circuit ranking.
With an open format, the league offers opportunities for both professionals competing for the European title and newcomers discovering the magic of paddle surfing.
