ESL Opens Consultation to Help Shape the 2027 Season
Following the conclusion of the 2026 European SUP League (ESL) season, with the final event held in Sesimbra, the League is inviting feedback on this year’s competition and suggestions for 2027.

Reviewing a season of change
This season saw the introduction of new rules, categories and initiatives. Some were implemented, while others remain pending. We now want to review how these changes worked and hear from those who took part in the League.
What the questionnaire covers
The questionnaire covers competition formats, rankings, elimination and repechage systems, the calendar and prizes. It also seeks feedback on the involvement of clubs and brands, as well as support for athletes. Responses will help identify what worked well, what needs improvement and which proposals can be developed realistically and sustainably.
The 2027 calendar under review
The consultation also includes possible dates for the 2027 calendar. One option under consideration is to hold all events between mid-April and the end of May. Other alternatives are also being explored, given the crowded international calendar. No dates have been confirmed.

Your experience counts
We invite athletes, clubs, brands and everyone involved in the ESL to take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your experience will help us prepare for next season, keeping athletes’ needs at the centre of our decisions.
Complete the questionnaire and share your suggestions for ESL 2027.
