Zürich brings to the European circuit a truly unique setting: the perfect combination of lake, city, and Alpine nature. The event takes place in Richterswil, a charming lakeside town on the shores of Lake Zürich, surrounded by hills, piers, and leisure areas that make this venue one of the most spectacular stops on the circuit.

Lake Zürich and its rivers form an environment deeply connected to water sports and stand up paddle — an activity with deep roots in the region. The combination of elite competition, Alpine scenery, and urban atmosphere makes this one of the most distinctive venues on the European tour.

Official ESL Events

SUP Technical Race — Pure pace and tactical intensity. Explosive starts, aggressive turns, constant positioning.

SUP Long Distance — The race that rewards those who master the water mentally and physically. Strategy, endurance, and power at the limit.

Other Formats

The Big Paddle Challenge (18.5 km) — The festival’s flagship popular challenge. 18.5 km of pure paddling around the iconic islands of Richterswil. Whether it’s your first challenge or you’ve been on the water for years, this one is for you.

Kids Fun — On-water activities for the youngest participants. Everyone can join!

Set on the southern shores of Lake Zürich, Richterswil is one of the most charming lakeside towns in Switzerland. With direct access to the lake, wide open views, a small picturesque harbour, and iconic islands just offshore: the perfect setting where adventure, sport, and Alpine scenery come together naturally.

🚆 Public Transport — Richterswil is 20 minutes by train from central Zürich. The S-Bahn stops directly at the event. (recommended)

✈️ ZRH Airport — Less than 30 minutes from Zürich Airport by public transport.

🚗 Parking — The Migros Plaza offers a large covered car park (approx. CHF 2/h). Additional parking available nearby.

🏠 Accommodation — Richterswil offers affordable lodging options. We recommend booking as early as possible.
