As the organizers of the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca and promoters of the European SUP League (ESL), we would like to share a message of total commitment and respect towards all athletes, circuits, and organizations that are part of this exciting sport.
Since our beginnings, we have worked to make our event a true international reference, year after year integrating the EuroTour into our schedule, and always ensuring the highest level of collaboration and coordination. Our goal has always been, and continues to be, to create a space where the best athletes and circuits can meet, compete, and grow together.
In 2023, we took a major step forward by bringing together two of the world’s top circuits in the same edition: EuroTour and the APP World Tour, firmly believing in adding value to the sport and offering a unique experience for both participants and spectators. In 2025, after a period of reflection and with our sights set on the future, we are proud to continue betting on unity by incorporating the first European SUP League officially certified by the European Surf Federation, an initiative aimed at boosting SUP in Europe.
From the very start, our intention has been to make different proposals compatible, adapting the event’s format and structure to accommodate all, distributing resources and prize money in the best way possible, and always prioritizing the interests and well-being of the athletes. After multiple conversations with the involved parties, we have reached an agreement that will allow us to maintain the spirit and quality of our festival while ensuring that both the European SUP League and EuroTour rankings are respected, and most importantly, that no party, especially the athletes, is negatively affected.
In this edition, the long-distance race will be the main event, led by the EuroTour and managed by the World SUP Festival’s organizing team and judges, as in previous years. The race will also be overseen by the European Surf Federation to validate the results for the European SUP League ranking. All of the originally planned prize money for both races will now be allocated entirely to this long-distance race, and has already been paid in full to the EuroTour.
The SUP Foil race, also led by the EuroTour, will remain in place with its original €2,000 prize purse. Meanwhile, the technical race on the second day will be an exclusive European SUP League event, with its own €4,000 prize purse, in line with the other ESL events.
In total, the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca 2025 will distribute €16,000 in prize money:

We want to thank the EuroTour for their professionalism and long-standing commitment to the sport, and we deeply value their continued trust in the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca as one of their most important stops. From our side, we remain focused on creating new opportunities for athletes, building bridges between circuits, and ensuring that all organizations can coexist and grow together, always prioritizing the athletes and the sport itself.
We know these adjustments require an extra effort from the organization, but we firmly believe that this solution brings additional value to the athletes, who will now be able to earn points in both rankings and enjoy a first-class event.
Let us be clear: our attitude has always been, and will continue to be, constructive and conciliatory. We believe in collaboration, in building mutual understanding between organizations, and above all, in placing athletes at the center of every decision. Our aim is not to generate tension but to build bridges that strengthen the sport we all love.
With this spirit, we invite all athletes, teams, sponsors, and fans to continue trusting in the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca—an event that will once again deliver thrilling competition, big names, side activities, and a unique celebration of Stand Up Paddle in an unbeatable setting.
