Donato Freens extends his lead in the men’s overall standings, while Alba Frey takes the lead in the women’s ranking ahead of the circuit’s return to Isla Cristina, Huelva, in September
The 2026 European SUP League has updated its official ranking following the ODRA SUP CUP, the fourth event of the season, held in Rybnik, Poland. The new standings include the results accumulated in Santa Pola, Taranto, Zurich and Poland, bringing the first major competitive phase of the season to a close ahead of the summer break.
The Overall Open ranking combines the points earned across the circuit’s three official disciplines, with a weighting of 40% for the Technical Race, 30% for Long Distance and 30% for Sprint. All age divisions compete together within the overall Open classification. In Poland, where the Technical Race and Sprint competitions were held, the results produced several important changes at the top of the standings.

Donato Freens extends his lead as Sergio Cantoral moves into second place

Isla Cristina will open the final stage of the season in September
Following the summer break, the European SUP League will return with the European SUP Race Isla Cristina, taking place from 4 to 6 September at Playa Central in Isla Cristina, Huelva.
The official competition will be held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. The programme includes a 200-metre Sprint and a Technical Race, with a total of €6,000 in prize money distributed between the two disciplines. It will be the fifth stop of the season and the first appearance of Isla Cristina and the Costa de la Luz as hosts of the European circuit.
The Huelva event will launch an especially intense final phase of the championship. Just one week later, the athletes will travel to Sesimbra, Portugal, for the sixth and final event of the calendar. With the overall titles still to be decided, every point earned in Isla Cristina could prove decisive in determining the 2026 European SUP League champions.
